On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at approximately 0924 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person, shot inside of an apartment, locayed at 70 E. 108th Street, within the confines of the 23rd Precinct / PSA 5 in Manhattan.
Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 39-year-old female with a gun shot wound to the head.
EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased.
A 22-year-old male was taken into custody and charges against him are pending.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

- murder in the 2nd degree
The investigation remains ongoing.
