Today at Alumni Gymnasium, the Bronx Community College Athletics Program celebrated the participation of the 2nd Year (Sophomore) players of the Broncos Women’s Basketball team.
Celebrating athletic participation at the college level is a rite of passage. It is about getting ready to face adult challenges.
The celebration was a sincere and respectful recognition of each players’ motivation, commitment and behavior.
The Bronx CC student athletes are intelligent and talented individuals that use college level sport participation as a way to develop as complete adult citizens. Their experiences, learning and knowledge about sports competition are unique because the results are clear, direct and fast. It either a team win or a loss. There are no second chances. Life moves on.
