Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp (NYSE:VLY), announced today the appointment of a new Bronx, New York, commercial lending team.
The Bronx Commercial Lending Team will work extensively to strengthen the Bank’s ties with businesses in the local Bronx area. By partnering with other business segments at the Bank, such as Cash Management, Wealth Management and Retail Banking, the team will promote Valley’s extensive line of convenient products and services. Efforts will be focused on developing relationships with small and middle market businesses in industries such as service, wholesale, manufacturing and food services. The Bronx Commercial Lending Team will also focus on commercial loans that support housing for low-to-moderate income occupants. As always, customers can continue to expect the same personalized service and care that Valley has been renowned for since 1927.
Michael Warrington, First Vice President – Team Leader, will manage the Bronx Commercial Lending Team. Mr. Warrington joined Valley in July and brings over 30 years of commercial banking experience to his position. Prior to joining Valley, he served as a Commercial Lending Team Leader for a prominent New York-based financial institution.
Mr. Warrington received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Virginia State University and has obtained several security licenses. He is a board member of the Business Initiative Corporation of New York and a founding member of the Youth Mentoring Program in the Maplewood/South Orange, New Jersey area. William C. Landers will also join the Bronx Commercial Lending Team as a Vice President – Commercial Loan Officer. Mr. Landers joined Valley in July and brings over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Valley, he served as a Senior Business Relationship Manager for a prominent financial institution. He has also held senior level positions for a notable financial institution and served as an Executive Director for a New York based non-profit organization.
Mr. Landers received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from John Jay College and a Master’s of Professional Studies from New York Theological Seminary.
