With it being National Health Center Week, we are please to let you know that Union Community Health Center (UCHC) received a $2,500 donation from UnitedHealthcare along with a host of supplies to help UCHC in its mission to provide quality health care services from its six locations in Bronx.

Union Community Health Center Receives A $2.5K Donation From UnitedHealthcare

Community health centers, also known as federally-qualified health centers (FQHCs), are an effective and a trusted source of care for many patients who might otherwise be unable to obtain care quickly and efficiently. They serve the most vulnerable populations including:

  • one in six Medicaid beneficiaries;
  • one in three Americans living in poverty;
  • 355,000 veterans;
  • 1.3 million homeless people;
  • and nearly 3.5 million individuals living in public housing each year.
