My name is Tyshawn Felder and my brother, Tylee Felder, was shot and killed on September 08, 2020, at the age of 24.

Unfortunately the police portrayed my brother as a bad person, without knowing details about his life, and my family was not asked to speak out about his murder.

Tylee was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

My brother was a caring person. He was well-known in the neighborhood for giving and helping people.

Those, who knew him, loved him.

He will always be missed by his mom, his dad, his siblings, his grandmother, his aunts, his generation of cousins and his friends.

Although my brother’s death was a tragedy, he will always be in our hearts and we will keep his name alive.

Whatever happens, darkness will always give way to light.

My life changed since my brother died. I am his youngest sibling. It is hard now. He was there when my dad was not. He took care of me.

I do not know what I am going to do without him.

He is apart of me, he is in me. I am broken.

Being Black does not define who you are. My brother Tylee Felder was a Black African American male, who was shot by other two (2) Black African American males.

I have no words to express my saddness and the loss his death has caused my family and our neighbors across Farragut Houses in Brooklyn.

I thank you all, for sending your condolences and love.

Remember my brother as if he were still with us.

Good days do not last forever.

To my brother – thank you for always being there for me. We, your siblings, miss you very much, and we will always love you.
