Join Teachers & Writers Collaborative for a poetry event celebrating the imaginations of New York City’s young writers on Saturday, April 28, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Bronx Library Center.

A reading will feature participants in a poetry workshop held at the Bronx Library Center, along with highlights from A Poem as Big as New York City, a children’s book featuring work written by young people in T&W programs across the city. The reading will be followed by a writing workshop for attendees to create their own poetic tributes to the city they love.

Rizzoli will publish A Poem as Big as New York City in Fall 2012. Special thanks to the Lily Auchincloss Foundation for its support for T&W’s partnership with the New York Public Library.

The April 28 event will be held in the Children’s Room at the Bronx Library Center, 310 East Kingsbridge Road at Briggs Avenue. Take the B or D train to the Fordham Road station.
