An attempt to withdraw $8,500 from a bank in central Greenwich ended in arrest Wednesday afternoon, after the suspects were unable to provide information about the account they were trying to defraud, according to police.

Bank employees also contacted the owner of the account, according to police, confirming that the attempted transaction was criminal. Police were subsequently notified.

The suspects, including an alleged accomplice in a nearby car, were later arrested on a range of financial-crime charges, police said.

According to the arrest report, Richardine Perry, 42, of Morris Avenue, Bronx, NY, and Quincy Dorsett, 26, of Bradley Street, Mamaroneck, NY, entered the bank. Police said Perry used a fake identification in the fraud attempt.

Those two suspects were charged with forgery, criminal impersonation, identity theft, conspiracy and attempt at larceny. Bail was set at $5,000 each.

Officers found a nearby accomplice, police said, and Korey Howe, 27, of New Bold Avenue, Bronx, was charged with forgery and attempt at larceny. His bail was also set at $,5000.

Police also recovered fraudulent documents used in the attempted bank withdrawal.
