The Holidays are here, and with the Holidays come great music and this is certainly true of The Orchestra of the Bronx, and the Bronx Orchestra Chorus, which will be presenting George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” on December 15th at The Hall of Fame Playhouse on the Campus of Bronx Community College 2155 University Avenue.

Tickets are $15.

This performance of the Messiah, is different than any other and very special because it involves 23 readers, well known current and past residents of the Bronx from all walks of life to bring the words of The Messiah to life.

The Orchestra of The Bronx, and The Bronx Opera are 2 of the best loved and longest traditions of musical organizations based in the Bronx. Many of the singers from the Bronx Opera have now sing with The Metropolitan Opera, so it really is an important learning ground for young singers and it all happens in the Bronx.

The Messiah is a performance each year that is not to be missed, and this year’s slate of presenters come from all walks of life and from all over the Country to join in this celebration of music.

Please put this important performance on your calendar and be a part of the audience for the wonderful music from the Orchestra and Chorus as they join together to celebrate the holiday season.
