People talk about redefining public safety, but they almost never care about the opinions of those who are most impacted. They do not know what transformative justice really means to our communities in the Bronx.
We understand that dismantling a system that intentionally harms low income Black and Brown people requires us to address the causes and consequences of systemic involvement from all advocacy angles. This includes changing or eliminating laws that deeply harm our communities, creating new laws that align with our vision of the future, and working in coalition with our neighbors to push people in power to do what is right. You are the most informed in our community, which is why we want you to join us at the 5th Annual Community Policy Summit.
Together we will gather as a community to have dialogue on what redefining public safety looks like to us and discuss our legislative priorities for the coming year.
