The Bronx County Conservative Party would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Republican Presidential candidate and Conservative Party endorsee Donald J. Trump for visiting the Bronx. As one of the first groups to publicly endorse him, and having made numerous public statements and invitations, we were overjoyed to welcome him to the South Bronx. We would love to welcome Mr. Trump back to the Bronx anytime.
Organizers of the Trump rally had requested a permit for 3,500 attendees, but some news reports claim the number of attendees was between 10,000 and 20,000 or more. Nonetheless, the event was a total success, as we expected, despite attempts by Democratic leaders to unsuccessfully sabotage the event.
A huge congratulations is in order to the New York Young Republican Club for orchestrating such a monumental event. Special acknowledgments are also due to all participants, from the media who asked their thoughts on Trump coming to the Bronx to local organizations and community leaders who pledged support to the Trump campaign and facilitated his visit.
Patrick McManus, Chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party, stated, “Thursday was a great day for the people of the Bronx, Mr. Trump, and his campaign. I can’t recall the last time any major party candidate for national office has taken the time to visit the people of the Bronx. I think it is a great step towards showing he can unify this country going forward.”
We believe that a unified effort at the Bronx County level could significantly increase voter registration and candidate highlights, potentially surpassing the numbers seen during this past visit.
We look forward to continuing to build on this momentum and working together for a brighter future for the Bronx and the nation.
