On Tuesday, July 09, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. handed out community service awards to three young siblings for their effort to clean up litter in their neighborhood.

Zayne, 8, and 5-year-old twins Grace and Melodie were accompanied by their father as they picked up litter in an underpass located on Kingsbridge Avenue and Grand Concourse, on Friday, July 05, 2019.

“It was a pleasure to meet Zayne, Grace and Melodie and to thank them for their dedication to their community. These outstanding kids are the leaders of our next generation of Bronxites and they prove that even our youngest community members have the power to make a difference,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
