A Bronx man has pleaded guilty in federal court in St. Louis to charges of selling bogus World Series tickets.

Shawn Turner, 31, was charged with trafficking in counterfeit goods and counterfeit access devices. He has pleaded guilty and is scheduled to be sentenced in March.

He was arrested October 27, 2011 after being chased down on foot by St. Louis police while officers watched for fake tickets after receiving several complaints.

Turner is on probation after being convicted in a similar ticket scam in Arizona earlier this year. He and several other men were caught with 230 phony tickets two days before the BCS Championship football game between Auburn and Oregon.
