Reginald Starks, 22, Arrested

On Thursday, July 01, 2021, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, related to the below-listed incident, the following 22-year-old male suspect was arrested.

Arrested:

Reginald Starks
535 E. 142nd Street
Bronx, NY 10454

Charges:

  • assault;
  • robbery;
  • grand larceny
  • attempted murder;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, June 09, 2021, at 0455 hours, in front of 501 Brook Avenue, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx, an unidentified male approached the victim, a 28-year-old male, and struck him in the back of his head with a cobblestone.

The unidentified male stomped on the victim’s head and upper back, then picked up a different stone and struck the victim with it.

The victim suffered severe head trauma and was transported to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition. 

The suspect male fled on foot eastbound on E. 147th Street.

An adult female passerby discovered the victim a short time later and called 911.

Video is attached. The first clip shows the incident. The second and third clips show the unidentified male walking in the vicinity of the incident, shortly before the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
