Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues;
“Creating Unity In The Community” is appealing for help to preserve Parkchester’s Annual Celebration of Kwanzaa program, which our community looks forward to celebrating every year.
This year’s program will celebrate the first principle Unity – Umoja: “To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.”
The celebration’s theme is UNITY, and together we will address the Coronavirus pandemic, human, and civil rights.
How can the community change the impact on systemic pervasive institutional structures of racism, which disproportionally affects the Black all over the world?
The program this year will be a live stream for special opportunities to conduct your Afrocentric fashion show, artistic performance (dancers, singers, drummers, and spoken.) The deadline to send your short 5-, 10- or 15-minute video or audio footage by October 16, 2020, you can make a lasting impression in the program. Otherwise, all are welcome save the date and spread the word by sharing on your social media pages.
This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, December 26, 2020, between the hours of 04:00 p.m. and 08:00 p.m.
