It is with sadness that the New York City Police Department announces the death of a member of its family.

Detective Jeffrey Scalf, assigned to the Gang Squad in the Bronx, passed away today, Monday, April 13, 2020, from complications related to the coronavirus.

Detective Scalf became a member of the NYPD on January 31, 2006.

May he rest in peace.
