You should know that I am very proud of the many opportunities I have provided to the men and women who have worked on my staff here in South Bronx.

It is important for you to know that when they served as part of my official Senatorial staff, I challenged Marcos Crespo, Marlene Cintrón, and Luis Sepulveda with opportunities to grow and to strive to serve our South Bronx community.

I am especially proud of being able to help my former employees get where they are today: Bronx Democratic County Chair Marcos Crespo, Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation President Marlene Cintrón, and New York State Senator Luis Sepulveda.

Now, my dear reader, I have to ask: are there any elected officials here in New York who would want to compare my employees’ records with theirs?

Ladies and gentlemen, I am sure you will agree that this black Puerto Rican, with kinky hair and broken English has been doing a fine job here in Bronx County. Facts are facts.

I am Councilmember Rev. Rubén Díaz, Sr. and this is what you should know.
