There are currently no credible or specific threats against our city.
Despite no credible threats to our city, with large-scale protests planned for Friday, October 13, we remain vigilant. We have directed the NYPD to surge additional resources to schools and houses of worship to ensure they are safe and that our city remains a place of peace.
We are also stepping up NYPD patrols in other key neighborhoods to help protect all of our city’s residents. Let us all do our part. If you see something, say something.
New York City rejects terrorism. We reject hate. We reject bigotry and discrimination towards ANY group. We stand united. And we mourn every innocent life lost.
Let us pray for the safe return of those captured, and for everyone, on both sides, suffering the horrors of war.

Mayor of New York City
