On Monday, September 16, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. took part in a ribbon-cutting for the newly renovated pool at Bronx Community College.

The new facility will include open swim hours for our students, faculty, and staff at Bronx Community College. The refurbished swimming pool is 38 x 75 feet and ranges from four to 11 feet in depth. The venue includes stadium seating overlooking the pool area and access to the lower level locker rooms through the pool deck and lobby.

The Borough President’s office contributed $675,000 of the $4,774,000 total project cost.

“The upgraded pool looks beautiful and it will be a valuable resource to students for years to come. Every year, I provide Bronx CUNY schools with funding from my capital budget because we need to make sure our public school students have everything they need to succeed in their educational journey,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
