Nasia Carson, 18, Arrested For The Murder Of Jessie Bynum, 21

On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at approximately 2208 hours, police responded to a 911 call of shots, fired at 2825 Olinville Avenue, within the confines of the 49th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed four (4) individuals with gunshot wounds and were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi.

A 21-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased.

A 33-year-old female suffered a gunshot wound to the right arm and is in stable condition.

A 23-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the right thigh and is in stable condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant an ongoing investigation, the following 18-year-old male individual was arrested and charged in regard to the above-listed incident.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • attempted murder;
  • attempted manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
