Mayor Bill de Blasio today appointed Nancy Pascal as the Director of the Office of Faith and Community Partnerships.
Pascal is an organizer with deep relationships in faith communities and most recently served as the Faith Constituency Manager for the City’s successful 2020 Census effort and as Citywide Faith Community Coordinator for the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit.
As Director of the Office of Faith and Community Partnerships, Pascal will ensure that communities at all levels have access to City Hall through outreach, education, and engagement. One of her crucial roles will be to work with faith leaders and local groups to ensure equitable access to vaccinations and benefits from recovery efforts.
“Faith communities play an integral part of our vaccine campaign and equitable recovery efforts,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio. “Nancy will bring her extensive relationships and expertise to the Office of Faith and Community Partnerships, and I’m excited to welcome her to this new role.”

About Nancy Pascal
Nancy Pascal is a community organizer with deep roots in faith-based communities across New York City. Pascal began her career in public service as a community organizer and Brooklyn representative for then-Public Advocate Bill de Blasio. Most recently, she served as Faith Constituency Manager for NYC Census 2020, where she co-led citywide efforts in pursuit of NYC Census 2020’s mission to get every New Yorker counted through outreach, education, and engagement. Prior to this, Pascal served as the Citywide Faith Community Coordinator for the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit, where she engaged faith leaders and non-profit organizations citywide about a range of Mayoral initiatives. Pascal has also worked in the nonprofit sector for various organizations including the Beginning with Children Foundation, Year Up, Inc. and the Children’s Aid Society.
Nancy Pascal is a native New Yorkerand a proud mother. She earned her BA from SUNY Buffalo in Political Science and will be completing her MSW from the NYU School of Social Work. She lives in Brooklyn where she is part of the fabric of the vibrant Fort Greene community.
