A mobile medical unit specializing in the health and wellness of veterans has opened its doors to the public.
Students and staff from Monroe College, along with community leaders, helped to officially open the mobile vet center Thursday to prospective patients.
The center will be stationed outside of Monroe College to provide veterans who attend the college with medical care. It is equipped with counseling services and a host of services for check-ups and wellness visits.
Veteran students told us that the unit will be a convenience during their busy schedules.
It will be parked outside the college once a week.
