Added relief for long suffering patients throughout New York City, the lower Hudson Valley and surrounding areas is finally here.

Join PharmaCannis for an informational event and community celebration to commemorate the upcoming opening of a medical cannabis dispensary that will enhance many lives through quality healthcare products and impeccable service. Patients, doctors, elected officials and Hunts Point community leaders will be on hand to christen the facility with a festive ribbon cutting ceremony followed by speeches and photo opportunities. This state-of-the-art facility is centrally located in Hunts Point and is the second dispensary to open in New York City under the state’s Compassionate Care Act.

PharmaCannis will begin dispensing cannabis medications from its Bronx location to individuals who present a registry identification card on Monday, November 7th. Ambassadors will be on-site this coming Saturday, November 5th, to register and educate New Yorkers on the benefits of the medications, which have been proven to effectively treat aliments such as nausea, inflammation and pain. Patients suffering from serious conditions including cancer, HIV/AIDS, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury with spasticity, epilepsy, cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathy and Huntington’s disease will now be able to receive the treatment they need.

The dispensary’s launch will also serve as a valuable tool in the fight against New York’s opioid abuse epidemic. Fatal overdoses of prescription drugs have quadrupled in the state over the past decade, as doctors dramatically increased the availability of them. The integrative nature of medical cannabis is an immeasurable improvement from opioids and their destructive and deadly perils. States that have had a comprehensive medical cannabis program in effect for at least two years have seen a 40% reduction in opioid related overdoses.

“Cannabis has numerous essential medical benefits and it is the medical community’s responsibility to provide patients with the most compassionate and effective care possible,” says Dr. Ken Weinberg, Cannabis Doctors Of New York.

State Senator Jeffery Klein (D – Bronx) says, “Today we take the historic step of offering a new level of patient care to my home borough. One of the safest, most tightly regulated medical marijuana programs in the country will finally bring much needed relief and effective treatment to countless suffering residents of the Bronx.”

State Assemblyman Marcos Crespo (D – Bronx) says, “We have been working with PharmaCannis for several months now to make this opening a reality. This team is increasing patient access within the Bronx and surrounding areas so that those suffering will find the relief they need.”

“The opening of this facility was done so in a way that took into consideration the needs as well as the concerns of this community, and I am very pleased with that,” said Councilmember Rafael Salamanca, Jr. “With the South Bronx continuing to face real health disparities, I believe that having a regulated, high-quality medicinal cannabis dispensary in this neighborhood could benefit many who are in need of pain relief.”

Tom, a former boxer suffering from neuropathy has seen immense benefits from medical cannabis. “For far too long I was depending on prescribed opioids. Now, my daily opioid intake of these addictive pills is down over 25%, and cannabis is helping to managing my pain,” he says.

Margaret is a Hunts Point resident whose colon cancer has returned after a decade in remission. She is eagerly awaiting the opening of the dispensary because no other medication has helped her “gain weight, treat nausea and sleep.”

“I am proud that our company is at the forefront of this historic medical advancement as the State of New York leads the nation in the proper use of medical cannabis as a part of healthcare. We are committed to being a leader in providing patients with access to a better life, from the New York City area to Buffalo and Long Island to the Southern Tier” says Teddy Scott, PharmaCannis CEO.

We invite you to join us in celebrating this landmark health care facility and speak to the people in the community who will realize the benefits, as well as medical professionals and local officials. PharmaCannis Bronx Dispensary is at the forefront of a new era of emerging healthcare in New York and we are proud to increase patient access under the Compassionate Care Act.
