A 23-year-old man is clinging to life Tuesday after being shot seven times as he got a trim at a Bronx barbershop — apparently in retaliation for a murder that took place a few blocks away last month, police sources said.

The gunman walked into the Odalis and Cheo Barber Shop at about 1:30 p.m. Monday and took aim at his victim sitting in a barber’s chair before opening fire, witnesses told police, according to sources.

The victim was hit in both thighs, the stomach and shoulder, officials said.

The gunman ran out of the barbershop to an awaiting car and remained on the loose Tuesday, police sources said.

Paramedics rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.

Police believe the violence came in retaliation for the murder of 41-year-old Jose Morales, who was fatally shot on E. 175th Street and Weeks Avenue on December 11, 2016.

Morales and a 25-year-old man were approaching the corner that night when a gunman opened fire, striking the older man in the head.

Morales died at the scene. The young man was hit twice in the face and chest and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.

No arrests have been made.
