St. Barnabas Hospital is responding to allegations that a man died while waiting for medical care.
The man reportedly walked into Bronx hospital’s emergency room Sunday night, complaining of a rash that appeared to be non-life threatening.
Hours later, on Monday morning, hospital workers found him dead.
A spokesman told the media the hospital has conducted an internal review and determined that all of its guidelines were met.
The spokesman said the man was checked on multiple occasions while he was waiting, and was active and moving.
He said federal regulations prevent the hospital from releasing any additional information about the patient.
