Longwood Festival 2019

You should know that Councilman Rafael Salamanca along with The Hispanic Federation will be celebrating the Annual Longwood Avenue Festival which is coordinated by Freddy Perez, Jr. Production.

This Saturday, September 7th, more than five thousand (5,000) people are expected during the annual celebration of the Longwood Avenue Festival (corner of Dawson Street & Intervale Avenue) in Bronx County. The Festival will begin at 12 noon until 6 in the evening.

For the past 4 years, the Longwood Festival has been a day of fun, games and entertainment for children / families, completely free. This year Jerry Rivera, Salsa artist from Puerto Rico will be headlining the event.

At 03:30 p.m., guests of honor, dignitaries and elected officials will address the public.

Transportation:

  1. Train # 6 to Longwood Station
  2. Train # 5 or 2 to the Intervale Station
  3. Buses 4 & 6 to the Intervale Stop and Westchester Avenue

Councilmember Rev. Rubén Díaz, Sr. was born April 22, 1943 and is a U.S. politician and minister. A member of the Democratic Party, Díaz represents the 32nd District in the New York State Senate. His constituency includes the Bronx neighborhoods of Castle Hill, Parkchester, Morrisania, Hunts Point, Melrose, Longwood, and Soundview.
