Livery Cab Driver Beaten, Robbed In Bronx

Four individuals are suspected of robbing a livery cab driver last week, allegedly punching him in the head and stealing an undisclosed sum of money, in addition to his cell phone and the taxi’s camera.

According to the NYPD, the incident went down at about 6:25 p.m. on January 30th; the unidentified 37-year-old driver picked up two male and two female passengers, aged between 18 and 20 years old, outside Lincoln Hospital in Bronx.

After driving the passengers to an address on Marida Street in Hunts Point, authorities say one of the male suspects punched the driver in the head and stole money from the front seat of the cab. When the driver started to fight back, two more male subjects allegedly approached the car and starting assaulting the victim. The NYPD says the driver then fled his cab, and the group stole his camera and phone; the driver refused medical attention at the scene. Surveillance video captured the suspects:
