Jose Chavez, 21, And A Teenager, Arrested For The Murder Of Rafael Jimenez, 29

On Wednesday, June 07, 2022, at approximately 1129 hours, police responded to a 911 call for a male, shot opposite 2323 Walton Avenue, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 29-year-old male, laying on the ground, with a gunshot wound to his head.

EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 15-year-old individual was arrested and charged in regard to the above-listed incident.

  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon (2 counts).

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 27-year-old male was arrested and charged in regard to the above-listed homicide.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

The investigation remains ongoing.
