The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following male, reported missing from within the confines of the 123rd Precinct in Staten Island.

Details are as follows.

Missing:

Jonathan Derbyshire
970 Huguenot Avenue
Staten Island, NY 10312

It was reported to police that Jonathan Derbyshire was last seen on Saturday, May 02, 2020, at 1500 hours, in a kayak in the Raritan Bay.

The missing is described as a 27-year-old male, White, 5’10” tall, weighing 185 lbs., muscular build, with hazel eyes and brown hair and an American flag tattoo on his forearm.

He was last seen wearing a grey bathing suit.

*** UPDATE ***

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 0815 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a an unconscious male on the beach in the vicinity of Hylan Boulevard and Cunningham Road.

Upon arrival, police discovered and unconscious, unresponsive male at the location.

EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
