On Thursday, March 31, 2022, at approximately 1947 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at E. 169th Street and Washington Avenue, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 37-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head in front of 1292 Washington Avenue.
EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
