On Sunday, February 06, 2022, at approximately 0218 hours, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 796 Greene Avenue, within the confines of the 81st Precinct in Brooklyn.
Upon arrival and a hospital canvass, police confirmed that an 18-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his chest was brought via private means to NYC Health + Hospitals / Woodhull, where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined that the male was shot in front of 792 Green Avenue, while sitting inside of a parked vehicle at the location.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
