It was reported to police that on Thursday, May 06, 2021, at 2328 hours, at the rear of 1420 Washington Avenue, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx, an unidentified individual discharged a firearm multiple times, striking a 17-year-old male victim in the chest and back.
The unidentified individual fled on foot southbound on Washington Avenue.
EMS transported the 17-year-old male victim to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 27-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged as follows.

- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
