Coffee enthusiasts in the Bronx will have to find a new spot to have their daily coffee.
Short Stop Coffee Shop on Broadway near 242nd Street in Kingsbridge will serve its final cup today.
An employee claims it has been unable to keep up with rising rents and a changing area. Some diners claim they stopped in for one farewell dinner.
“So we had to come and reminisce a little bit with our cook who remembered us from 20 years ago,” a guest added. “And we are sad to that it is closing.”
The shop has been in business for thirty years.
According to an employee, a bar will replace the coffee shop.
The boutique sells shirts to customers who wish to carry a bit of the restaurant with them.
