I Love Black People (ILBP) is a Black tech startup that uses technology to protect Black people from racism & xenophobia, especially while traveling and in new environments. ILBP provides safe places for Black people throughout the world by providing a network of Black-owned and Black-friendly businesses.
ILBP is organizing the first-ever Get Out the Vote (GOTV) virtual bus tour to mobilize Black-owed businesses and 500,000 voters in key battleground states and cities. ILBP will use technology to Get Out The Vote by providing smart t-shirts and palm cards with barcodes which will provide instant access to voter information such as voter registration, early voting and absentee voting.
Behind towering figures like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. were the taxi dispatchers, pharmacists, grocers, and other Black business owners who were instrumental in making civil rights a reality.
We must use our vote to fight against social and economic injustices by electing candidates that have a strong agenda on issues that impact Black Americans and Black business owners. The economic sustainability of the Black community relies on our ability to build our own businesses and collectively support Black-owned businesses and institutions.
“The new civil rights movement has begun. This is the most important election in our lifetime,” said Sinclair Skinner, founder of I Love Black People. “Voter education and registration coordinated with technology is the key to mobilizing Black people in battleground states.”
