Help Identify Grand Larceny Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance with identifying and locating the male and a person of interest, respectively, depicted in the attached surveillance and arrest photos, wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on April 21, 2018, inside of 200 East 161st Street (Bank of America), an unidentified male deposited a forged check  into the ATM, belonging to a 79-year-old victim, in the amount of $4,660. The check was deposited into the second male’s Chase Bank account.

The first individual is described as male Black, late teens to early twenties; last seen wearing a dark gray puffer jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.

The second male is a person of interest and is identified as follows:

Kal Carr Schrouder, 26-years-old. He is described as a dark complexion male, Hispanic, 6’4″, 170 lbs.

The photo of the first individual is seen depositing the check into the ATM, as well as the identified male wanted for questioning is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
