The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached photos and is sought in connection with an attempted robbery in Transit within the confines of the 47th Precinct / Transit District 12 in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 0550 hours, inside of the Wakefield – 241 Street station on the 2 Line, on the mezzanine, the victim, a 77-year-old male, was approached from behind by an unidentified male who produced an imitation pistol and demanded the victim’s property. The victim refused, a struggle ensued and the unidentified male fled the station. No property was removed and the victim was not injured. An imitation pistol was recovered from a trash can in the immediate vicinity of the incident.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
