Help Identify An Attempted Robbery Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the whereabouts of the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip, who is wanted in connection to an attempted robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Friday, March 03, 2023, at approximately 0045 hours, the victim, a 51-year-old male, was at the “Gulf” gas station, located at 1805 Webster Avenue, pumping gas into his vehicle.

An unidentified male individual drove up to the pumps in a white “Mercedes-Benz”, exited his vehicle, approached the victim and attempted to remove his chain from around his neck, while pointing a firearm.

The victim then sprayed the male with gasoline and the male discharged the firearm towards the victim, striking him once in the face.

The male individual then entered his vehicle and fled to parts unknown.

The victim was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical, but stable condition.

The individual is described as an adult male, with dark skin complexion, approximately in his 30’s, thin build, 5’11” tall, and 180 to 190 lbs. in weight.
