Help Identify An Assault Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached photo in connection to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 42 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 1420 hours in the rear of 3458 3rd Avenue, a 71-year-old male victim was approached from behind and struck in the face with an unknown object by an unidentified male individual. The individual continued to strike the victim until he lost consciousness, before the male fled in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained a swollen right eye and lacerations to his face.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated and released. No items were taken in this incident.

The unidentified individual is described as a male black with medium length dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing blue sweatpants with the words “Just Do It” on the left leg, blue and white sneakers and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
