The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified individual, seen in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is sought in connection with an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

 
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at approximately 0847 hours, a 2-year-old female was exiting 230 E. 198th Street with her mother, when an unknown female individual approached her from behind and pushed her to the ground, causing her head to strike the pavement.

The individual fled on foot, northbound on Valentine Avenue.

The victim was transported by EMS to Montefiore Medical Center in stable condition.

The individual is described as a 35- 45-year-old female, Black, approximately 5’05” tall, weighing 130 lbs., and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and red sneakers.
