The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, who is seen in the attached surveillance photograph and is sought in connection with an assault, that occurred, in transit, within the confines of the 40th Precinct / TD 12 in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at approximately 1155 hours, a 59-year-old male victim and a 58-year-old female victim were sitting on board the northbound 6 line at the 3rd Avenue / 138th Street subway station, when an unidentified male individual approached the female and spit at her.
As the male victim was getting up, the individual then grabbed him around the neck with his arm, placed him in a headlock position, while punching him in the head and face.
The individual then fled towards top side to parts unknown.
The male victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospital / Lincoln for his minor injuries and is in stable condition.
There were no other injuries reported as a result of this incident.
The individual is described as a Black, dark-skinned adult male, approximately in his 30’s, 5’10” tall, weighing 200 lbs.; with black hair (Afro).
He was last seen wearing a light colored shirt, black bubble jacket, dark sweat pants, red sneakers and black winter hat.
