The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified males who are seen in the attached photographs and are sought in connection with a robbery pattern within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

Incident 1: It was reported to police that on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 1800 hours, the victim, a 16-year-old female, arranged to meet a buyer, who she met online, for her cellphone in front of 1516 Westchester Avenue. Upon arrival, Unidentified Male #1 engaged the victim in conversation. Unidentified Male #2 shoved the victim and snatched her iPhone 11 from her hand.

Both males fled. The victim was not injured.

  • Unidentified Male #1 was wearing a long black coat.
  • Unidentified Male #2 was wearing a green jacket with a green hooded sweatshirt.

Incident 2: It was reported to police that on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 1410 hours, the victim, an 18-year-old male, arranged to meet a buyer, who he met online, for a pair of jeans in front of 1035 Boynton Avenue.

Upon arrival, three males approached the victim. Arrested #1 (below) produced a firearm and the males relieved the victim of his jeans, coat, an iPhone 11 and AirPods.

The males fled on foot.

Folowing an ongoing investigation the following 19-year-old male suspect (Male #1) was arrested and charged as follows.

Charges:

  • robbery (3 counts);
  • grand larceny (2 counts);
  • criminal possession of a firearm;
  • menacing (2 counts);
  • criminal possession of stolen property.
