The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the individual, seen in the attached video clip, who is wanted in connection to a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Monday, August 16, 2021, at approximately 1840 hours, opposite 1560 Purdy Street, the 24-year-old female victim was walking southbound on Purdy Street, when a gray Honda mini-van stopped, and an unknown male exited from the front passenger seat. The individual approached the victim and forcibly grabbed two gold chains off her neck, causing her to fall to the ground. The individual then returned to the van, which was operated by an unknown individual and fled the location, traveling southbound on Purdy Street.
The victim sustained minor lacerations to her left knee and left elbow and redness around her neck. She refused medical attention at the scene.
The two gold chains stolen are worth $1,500.
The individual is described as a male, Hispanic, approximately 20-years-old, 5’08” tall, weighing 140 lbs., with a light complexion and a thin build.
He was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, a black t-shirt, light blue jeans, and black & white sneakers.
