The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is wanted in connection to a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at approximately 1446 hours, inside of the ‘Target” department store, located at 40 W. 225th Street, a police officer responded to a call of an unidentified individual shop lifting a coffee maker and air fryer.
The officer observed the individual leaving the store, at which time the officer attempted to apprehend the shoplifter; a struggle ensued, and the shoplifter forcibly pushed the officer to the ground before fleeing into a residential building, located at 2811 Exterior Street and exiting through the back door.
The officer sustained a fractured knee, and was transported via EMS to an area hospital, where he was treated and released.
The individual is described as an adult male, Black, with dark complexion, approximately 40 years of age, 185 lbs., approximately 5’9″ tall and bald.
He was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, dark jeans and gray sneakers.
