The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip and photographs, regarding a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 47th Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 1750 hours, inside the subway station, located at the northeast corner of White Plains Road and Nereid Avenue, a 20-year-old male and a 18-year-old female victim, attempted to exit the uptown 2 train at the Nereid Avenue Station, when their paths was impeded by two unknown passengers. Individual #1 displayed a box cutter as individual #2 forcibly removed the victim’s iPhones, Air Pods and $80 cash, before fleeing the train station on foot, heading towards 237 Street.

There were no reported injuries.

The individuals are described as follows:

  • Individual #1: male, 18 to 20-years-old, dark complexion, 160 lbs., slim build, approximately 5’6″ tall with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt with a multi-colored graphic on the front, light colored jeans, white sneakers and a surgical mask.
  • Individual #2: male, 18 to 20-years-old, dark complexion, 160 lbs., slim build, approximately 5’9″ tall with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, black sweatpants, black sneakers and a surgical mask.
