The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip and photograph, who is wanted in connection to a police impersonation incident, that occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at approximately 2200 hours, a 30-year-old male victim was at 4068 3rd Avenue, a BP gas station, pumping gas when a Uhaul truck was attempting to squeeze past his vehicle and struck his vehicle.

The suspect exited a “Mercedes-Benz” truck and stated he saw the whole thing and that he will take care of it. He identified himself as a police officer and requested the 30-year-old male’s documents and told him that he will go to the closest precinct and file a report.

The suspect then fled the scene.

The individual is described as a male, wearing a white shirt and last seen driving off in a black “Mercedes-Benz”.
