The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached photograph in connection to a police impersonation incident that occurred within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Friday, January 03, 2020, at approximately 1842 hours, a 13-year-old male victim was shopping inside 2501 Grand Concourse (PC Richards) when a unidentified individual approached him and stated he was an undercover cop investigating credit card fraud. The unidentified individual demanded money and the victim complied and gave the individual approximately $200.

The individual is described a male, approximately 45 to 50 years of age, 6’0″, 230 lbs.; heavy set, black hair and last seen wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, a blue New York Yankee baseball hat and black sneakers.
