Help Identify A Grand Larceny Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the male depicted in the attached video wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 41st Precinct / Transit District 12 in Bronx.

The following was reported to police.

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at approximately 0730 hours, a 10-year-old male was walking up the staircase in the Hunts Point subway station, when he felt a tug on his backpack. The victim turned around and noticed an unidentified male placing the victim’s Nintendo DS in his pants pocket and exited the station. The victim attempted to follow the male but lost sight of him. Further investigation revealed that the male was captured on video entering 941 Hoe Ave.

A surveillance video clip of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
