The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the male depicted in the attached photos wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 40th Precinct in Bronx / Transit District 11.

The following has been reported to police.

On Wednesday, October 09, 2019, at approximately 1040 hours, a 71-year-old female victim was at the MetroCard booth conducting a transaction and walked away, inadvertently leaving her wallet on the booth ledge. The victim returned and discovered the wallet had been removed. Subsequent investigation determined that an unidentified male captured on surveillance removed the wallet containing credit cards and personal documents. There were no unauthorized charges made on the cards.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
