The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the unknown female depicted in the attached video wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny incident that occurred within the confines of the 50 Precinct in Bronx / Transit District 3.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to the police that on Monday, September 02, 2019 at approximately 1100 hours, in the 231st Street Subway Station, (#1 line) a 17 year old male victim was exiting the train when he discovered his wallet was missing and was later notified by his banking institution of possible fraudulent activity and contacted police.

Subsequent investigation determined that on Sunday, September 01, 2019 at approximately 1900 hours, an unknown female individual was observed on surveillance cameras using the victim’s credit card to make purchases at various undisclosed locations in the vicinity of the incident location. The total amount of charges is approximately $100.

The individual being sought is described as a female, Black, approximately 20-30 years of age, she was last seen wearing a blue shirt and dark pants, with red hair.

A surveillance video clip of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
