Help Identify A Burglary Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance video in regard to a burglary pattern that occurred within the confines of the 46 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

Incident 1: On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at approximately 0021 hours, inside the grocery store located at 122 E. 181 Street, an unidentified individual, using a crow bar, disabled a locked rear door, and entered the store. Once inside, he removed $18,000 worth of scratch off Lotto tickets before fleeing through the rear door, to parts unknown.

Incident 2: On Friday, December 27, 2019, at approximately 1930 hours, inside the Cohen’s Fashion Optical store located at 2483 Grand Concourse, an unidentified individual, using a crow bar, disabled the locked rear door, entered the store and removed $4,000 cash, before fleeing through the rear door, to parts unknown.

Incident 3: On Friday, December 27, 2019, at approximately 2000 hours, inside the Boost Mobile store located at 2479 Grand Concourse, an unidentified individual, using a crow bar, made a hole in the wall from the adjacent store (Cohen’s Fashion Optical), entered the store and removed $100 cash, before fleeing to parts unknown.

Incident 4: On Monday, January 13, 2020, at approximately 0347 hours, inside the Sprint store located at 124 E. Fordham Road, an unidentified individual, using a crow bar, made a hole in the drywall, entered the store and removed $300 worth of tools and a Acer laptop, before fleeing to parts unknown.

Incident 5: On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at approximately 0315 hours, inside the grocery store located at 269 E. 188 Street, an unidentified individual, using a crow bar, disabled a locked basement door entrance, entered the store and removed $180 worth of beer before fleeing through the basement door, to parts unknown.

The individual is described as an adult male with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants, black gloves, sneakers and a baklava.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
