Some kids really look forward to going back to school. Especially kids whose parents have shown them the importance of a sound education. Unfortunately, some New York City children are facing the school year without the help of their families.

The Foster Care Network (FCN) is urging New York residents to make this school year a productive and rewarding one for a child in their communities by becoming foster parents.

“The need for foster parents is always overwhelming, but never more than during back-to-school time,” says David Schild, FCN President. “This is the time of year when families prepare for the school year together. Unfortunately there are many children in our area who have no one with whom to share this experience.”

Whether you are a large family with several children or a couple without kids of your own, the need for families willing to open up their home to one or more children has never been greater.

“We need families from all ethnic groups and from all over the New York area to consider becoming foster parents,” says Schild, “especially those willing to accept siblings and teenagers. I encourage everyone who may be interested to call The Foster Care Network and get more information.”

Find out how easy it is to become a positive role model for a child in need of a loving home. In addition to getting free training at your convenience, as a foster parent you’ll receive monthly financial assistance for the living and medical expenses of each child in your care.

Take that first step to becoming a foster parent today, by calling the Foster Care Network toll-free at 800-454-3727. Give a needy child the support he or she needs to succeed.
